MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 21, 2008) – Thomas & Betts added a cross connection to its Color-Keyed Kube connectors, offering 90 degree angles and crossing conductors. The Kube Cross is ideal for connections with electrical circuitry and uses standard installation tools for compression connections. The Kube Cross increases the flexibility in making connections, efficiency of installation time, and other advantages, including lower costs in conductor types used. Circuit designs that have cross connection can be challenging and virtually impossible if bending conductors, but the flexibility of the Kube Cross will allow installers to create the needed configurations with ease.
The Thomas & Betts Color-Keyed Kube family of connectors is the only UL/CSA listed connector system in the industry for field assembling and crimping products for installations and connections that require 90 degree wire bending. The Color-Keyed Kube Cross is designed for applications 600V and below, but when appropriate insulation is used, the product can be used in 35kV or higher applications. The Color-Keyed Kube Cross product offering will continue to grow in an effort to meet customer electrical connection needs.
