PVC-coated cast-iron conduit body has UL Type 4X and NEMA Type 4X ratings on sizes up to two inches.
November 5, 2009 - The OCAL-BLUE Form 8 PVC-coated cast-iron conduit body now carries the UL Type 4X and NEMA Type 4X ratings on sizes up to two inches. These ratings assure conduit protection and corrosion-resistant performance in wash-down areas as well as harsh outdoor environments exposed to moisture, rain, ice and snow. The UL Type 4X rating seal is achieved by simply finger-tightening the encapsulated stainless steel cover screws to 15 in. -lbs. of torque.
This compares to 35 in. -lbs. or more of torque required to tighten cover screws on competitors’ conduit bodies. OCAL-BLUE Form 8 conduit bodies come in blue, gray, white and a variety of custom colors.
