January 28, 2014 — SL Power Electronic appointed Timothy F. Croal President. Prior to joining SL Power Electronics, Croal was the Vice President/General Manager of AMETEK’s Programmable Power Division with operations in San Diego, Switzerland and Germany as well as sales offices around the world. Croal led the more than doubling of sales over a four year period through new product development, global and market expansion and the acquisition of two businesses. Under his leadership, division operating profit margin doubled through global sourcing, value engineering, pricing and process improvement initiatives.
Prior to promotion to this position, he was the Vice President/General Manager of AMETEK’s Instrumentation & Specialty Controls Division. “Tim is a very accomplished leader and brings over 30 years of U.S. and international experience that will help lead the SL Power Electronics’ team on strategic initiatives to drive strong, profitable growth," said William T.
Fejes, Jr., CEO and President, SL Industries, Inc. Prior to AMETEK, Croal spent nearly 28 years with Eaton Corporation in various positions of increasing responsibility including business unit, plant, supply chain, manufacturing operations and information technology management. Croal holds Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and MBA degrees, both from Marquette University.
