April 30, 2014 - Trebing + Himstedt sold its Industrial Communication product portfolio to Softing Industrial Automation. The portfolio will transfer to Softing on May 1, 2014. The product portfolio includes solutions for permanent monitoring of industrial networks. PROFIBUS, PROFINET and Industrial Ethernet users in particular can use this technology to implement modern Asset Management solutions that help maximize production facilities availability.
“These Trebing + Himstedt products are an ideal complement to Softing Industrial Automation’s existing portfolio, especially in the area of network diagnostics. They unlock additional potential that we expect will make a significant contribution to growth in the near term,” says Hans-Werner Auberg, a managing director at Softing Industrial Automation.
Trebing + Himstedt has decided to focus on its business unit “Manufacturing Integration” in order to concentrate more intently on the growth market Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with SAP.
