October 11, 2012 - TRU-Vu Monitors introduces SRM-15 15-in. sunlight readable monitors. The SRM-15 Series monitors feature 1,000 nits brightness, enabling users to see clear, vivid color images even in direct, bright sunlight. The SRM-15 Sunlight Readable monitors are ideal for a wide range of outdoor applications, or in vehicles, where bright sunlight makes standard monitors or laptop screens nearly invisible. Applications include pipeline inspection systems, ticket kiosks, in cars, trucks, helicopters, and trains, on ships and oil drilling rigs, at truck depots and loading docks, security/surveillance systems, outdoor advertisings, and more.

The SRM-15 Series are built with industrial-grade components to withstand challenging environments. They feature 1024 x 768 resolution, VGA, S-Video and Composite (BNC) video inputs. They utilize reliable LED backlights for greater durability and longer life than traditional CCFL backlights. The SRM-15 Series Sunlight Readable monitors are backed by a full 3-Year Warranty. They are also available with touch screens, or in open-frame configurations.

A new, even brighter 1,500 nits model will be available shortly.
