December 26, 2006 - Minneapolis, Minn. — TURCK introduces a versatile, low-cost way to distribute field devices for FOUNDATION™ fieldbus and PROFIBUS®-PA. The JRBS line of spur blocks provides the convenience of DIN-rail mounting in a rugged IP 20 design. The JRBS line of products is available in several versions, incorporating features that enhance usability and simplify wiring in a variety of industrial applications. All JRBS products contain a selector switch for segment termination, and allow the segment to be continued for distribution of instruments in other locations with no additional accessories required.
Some JRBS versions also offer short circuit protection with an adjustable limit for each spur, allowing the user to choose values between 30 mA to 60 mA via a rotary switch. These features combine to provide an extremely cost-effective field device distribution product. All JRBS products are constructed from an aluminum housing that provides a temperature rating of -13 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. The products are available in 4, 6 or 8-port configurations, and contain LED indication of spur status and segment power.
