October 9, 2008 — TÜV Rheinland Group, one of three authorized labs by the ZigBee Alliance providing formal ZigBee Certification, has a new, custom Automizer Test System. Using the Automizer, TÜVRheinland is now able to provide ZigBee compliance testing for the ZigBee Smart Energy Public Application Profile, 50% faster than using the manual process. "We are very pleased to finish the development of our Automizer System,” said David Surber, VP of Engineering at TÜV Rheinland of North America. "The system allows us to cut the required testing time almost in half, a significant savings for our clients.
With the sharp increase in the demand for devices compliant with the ZigBee Smart Energy Profile, we are now better prepared to handle the planned workload." A licensed copy of the Automizer system is available free of charge to clients wishing to perform their own testing for development purposes. TÜV Rheinland Group laboratories in the USA, Europe and Asia are available to guide clients to through all necessary ZigBee qualification programs for a fast and smooth market integration of their products.
