Features enhanced user interface and new programming functionsAugust 9, 2006 - WOOD DALE, IL – Danaher Motion introduces Version 1.3 of its NDC8 control platform for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). Version 1.3 couples extensive programming options and advanced diagnostics with a high degree of user-friendliness and flexibility.
Because it makes use of the Soft PLC, CANopen and WLAN standards, integration with third-party solutions is greatly simplified, which helps extend the NDC8 platform’s service life while reducing operational costs.Even highly complex transport vehicles can now be managed simply and quickly via a single platform. Text, graphic and color touch-screen displays are included. This simplifies the programming process and facilitates quick, seamless installation.
Version 1.3 enables users to automatically tune vehicles, for example, in situations where there are slight variations between the laser scanner positions or zero positions of the control encoders. This optimizes control of all vehicles within the fleet.Danaher Motion’s AGV solutions are used in a wide range of applications and industries, including steel, automotive, electronics, ceramics and entertainment, among others. Additionally, this control platform is now available in simplified Chinese, as well as English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Finnish and Swedish.
The color touch-screens also support Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese languages.
