Thiel will oversee terminal blocks and connectors, PCB connectors and similar products.

GERMANTOWN, WI – April 29, 2008 – Cory Thiel has joined WAGO Corporation as Product Manager – Interconnect to oversee the growth of Printed Circuit Board-mount terminal blocks and connectors, Multi Connection System (pluggable PCB connectors), 773 Series WALL-NUTS, 222 Series LEVER-NUTS and the 770 Series WINSTA plug-in connectors. Thiel brings substantial depth and a breadth of electromechanical experience to the position, where he seeks to advance WAGO’s Interconnect presence in North America. “I have the utmost confidence in Cory’s ability to expand our leadership position as the market leader in spring pressure technology for PCB, flying lead and thru-panel connectors,” said WAGO Marketing Manager, Dean Norton.

“His background and knowledge in electromechanical component sales and marketing will serve to benefit our customers, channel partners and sales team alike.” Thiel plans to draw on his experience with electronics and the non-automotive transportation sector (primarily heavy-duty construction equipment) to strengthen the overall focus on product groups such as fixed PCB Connectors and the Multi Connection System. Central to his plans for WAGO’s Interconnect division, is working with electronic-specific distributors and the sales network to further deliver value to the industry.

“I look forward to highlighting WAGO’s custom-product capabilities, as well as increasing our presence in areas that have traditionally been a bit outside of WAGO’s direct scope, but can benefit from our spring pressure connection technology,” Thiel said. WAGO is the worldwide leader in spring pressure connection technology that eliminates loose wires as a result of vibration and temperature cycling, as well as provides highly reliable, corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free connections. Our complete line of spring pressure connection products includes: DIN-rail mount terminal blocks, chassis mount terminal blocks, PCB mount terminal blocks, relays, signal conditioners, power supplies, surge suppressors, the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM and more.
