Wavetrend makes three senior appointments

Wavetrend, the world-leading manufacturer of active Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, is pleased to announce two new board positions with the appointment of Ken Moss as Executive Chairman and Charles Cameron as a Non-Executive Director. In addition, Adrian Segens has been appointed as Head of Sales and Marketing for Europe. By strengthening the management team, Wavetrend plans to capitalize on the significant opportunities for growth in the active RFID market.

Wavetrend, the world-leading manufacturer of active Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, is pleased to announce two new board positions with the appointment of Ken Moss as Executive Chairman and Charles Cameron as a Non-Executive Director. In addition, Adrian Segens has been appointed as Head of Sales and Marketing for Europe. By strengthening the management team, Wavetrend plans to capitalize on the significant opportunities for growth in the active RFID market. Mr. Moss is a successful entrepreneur and manager in the IT sector with over 20 years experience at software and hardware companies in the UK and Continental Europe.

As CEO of Bytech Ltd, a provider of high-end software solutions, Mr. Moss managed the company through a period of dramatic growth and its sale to Avnet Inc, where he became European President. During Mr. Moss’ tenure, Avnet Inc’s turnover grew seven-fold to close to $1bn and became IBM’s first pan-European business partner. Mr.

Cameron is a Managing Director in the London offices of Jefferies Broadview, the technology division of US investment bank Jefferies & Co. Inc, and was previously a Director at Goldman Sachs. He has 18 years investment banking experience in New York, Tokyo and London and has led numerous high profile technology IPOs and secondary issues. Mr. Cameron was also CEO of InTechnology plc, a UK quoted company and one of Europe’s largest providers of managed data storage and security services.

Mr. Segens has extensive experience in the field of technology sales. He joins from GS1 UK, the UK arm of the EAN/UCC (GS1) network, which sets a number of international standards including those for bar coding and RFID. There he was a Business Manager responsible for commercialising GS1’s knowledge and IP. Prior to this he worked as a manager for Intellident Ltd, the UK’s leading integrator of RFID technologies, Loma Systems Ltd and Domino Printing Sciences plc.
