They have a spring contact for bonding with the mounting rail when connecting copper leads. The outlet routes fiber optic cables with a ST connection.With IP67 protection rating, Weidmuller’s connectivity devices include the connection sockets, cable couplers, and plugs to protect connections from external industrial environment conditions. The outlet and coupler are fitted with an RJ45 module featuring insulation displacement connection technology. The RJ45 connector is integrated into the modules.
Field network devices can be connected to an intelligent element, such as a PLC or switch featuring electrical ports, via an installation flange. Weidmuller’s flanges offer either an RJ45 connector with insulation displacement connection or an RJ45 socket-to-socket module. When Ethernet cables are not connected, the installation flange, connection socket, and cable coupler can be reliably protected by means of a permanently attached cover ensuring IP67 class protection. If a cable is too short, Weidmuller offers installation connectors for mounting on the wall in a fully shielded metal compartment. These connectors can be fed from one or both sides and meets Category 7, Class F properties.
The adaptor handles 8-wire installation cable for two 4-wire networks.
