Why Did You Join the ISAGCA? Insights from Our Members (Part 1)
We asked a few of the ISA Global Cybersecurity Alliance founding members why they decided to join, and their answers were insightful.

The ISA Global Cybersecurity Alliance (ISAGCA) is an open, collaborative group that works together to strengthen three critical components of automation cybersecurity in any industry: people, processes, and technology. Awhile back, we asked some of our founding members

why they decided to join ISAGCA

, and their answers were insightful.

If you're interested in hearing these leaders (and others!)

speak, their responses can also be found in audio format in our first multimedia infographic from last year. We'll feature a few additional founding members in an upcoming blog post.

Klaus Jaeckle, Chief Product Security Officer, Schneider Electric

"Over the last few years, global industries have recognized that taking on newer, more innovative, and increasingly dangerous cyber threats can't really be limited to a single company segment or region. So, until now, there has been a limited ability to respond as a unified whole to threats that affect us all.

I am convinced that by establishing an open, collaborative, and transparent body, with a focus on strengthening people, processes, and technology, we can drive true cultural change. ...Together, we will bring to bear standards-based technology, expertise, and special skills that are required to better secure and protect the world's most critical operations and the communities that we serve."

Blake Moret, CEO, Rockwell Automation

"Cybersecurity is critical to digital transformation. It's critical not only for the protection of information and intellectual property, but also for the protection of physical assets, the environment, and worker safety. We make it a priority to collaborate with partners and research institutions to develop secure products, networks, and software. ...

Our engagement with the [ISA] Global Cybersecurity Alliance will be another important step in our efforts to help our customers identify and mitigate risk."

Matthew Bohne, VP and Chief of Product Security, Honeywell Building Technologies

"At Honeywell, we see cybersecurity as a core part of the future we're making, and we see that the [ISA] Global Cybersecurity Alliance is an important way to work together to make that happen. Cybersecurity is critical to the connected world we live in, and the cornerstone of trust that the world needs to be able to operate. Whether protecting critical infrastructure or managing a building's operations, users need to do this with a confidence that the employed systems are robust and secure. We're committed to, and proud to work together with, ISAGCA members to drive the adoption of the ISA/IEC 62443 Series of Standards and identify further ways to secure and protect the connected world."
