June 15, 2015 - Wi-NEXT announced the relocation of its headquarters to Silicon Valley in California, and that Armando Pereira has joined the company as its new CEO.

“Our mission is to bring our know-how and unique IP in Mesh networking into the IIoT space,” said Nicola de Carne, the founder of Wi-NEXT. “Armando Pereira is the right person to execute on our vision of connecting the unconnected, and to empower Wi-NEXT to grow rapidly and expand internationally.”

Wi-NEXT builds upon a history of innovation and success in Italy, and a portfolio of intellectual property uniquely positioned to address the IIoT market. Its products and solutions are specifically designed to connect industrial machines and to optimize their real-time data performance. Whether the customers have unconnected machines, “invisible assets,” or more modern equipment, the Wi-NEXT solution will innovate how the industry thinks about predictive maintenance, energy efficiency monitoring and real-time data analytics on the edge of the network. Wi-NEXT is bringing intelligent IIoT solutions to Cloud and Fog Computing.

“We are witnessing again a paradigm shift in our industry, as broadband IT (high-speed networking, storage and computing) makes its way to the edge of the network,” shared Armando Pereira, CEO Wi-NEXT. “More precisely, and in our case, this is intelligent big data and analytics responding to the needs of the factory floor. Wi-NEXT will have a tremendous impact in defining this space, and I am very proud to be working with such a uniquely talented team.”

Wi-NEXT, Inc. develops solutions ideally positioned for the Smart Factory segment. Its products can be deployed in “greenfield” installations, but also as powerful and flexible tools to retrofit existing installations with state-of-the-art IIoT technology.

Founder Nicola de Carne will serve as the new Vice President of Marketing in addition to the responsibilities of President overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company in Italy.
