BURGAW, N.C. (November 7, 2005) – Wieland Electric, Inc introduces an extension to its existing line of multipole industrial connectors. The addition of Ethernet connectivity allows Wieland to offer a complete product line for a wide range of industrial applications. The revos family of multipole connectivity offers flexible and universal connections that allow the connection of a wide range of conductors, applications and cabling.
A key feature of the industrial Ethernet revosFLEX insert is the ease in which the RJ45 connections can be simply plugged into the insert, giving the user a plug-n-play option for Ethernet connections. The insert also gives the added flexibility of combining the communications and signal/power into one package. This feature provides convenient connections in the field for the fieldbus communications, signal connections for watchdog circuits or power connections for field devices in a quick connect/disconnect design. The revosFLEX RJ45 module is rated for IP65 usage in any industrial application requiring Ethernet connectivity and signaling or power.
The Ethernet port module is UL and CSA approved for Cat. 5 cabling and 100 Mbit/s. The signal/power connections are rated for 480V/10A circuits.
