Research Triangle Park, NC, USA – November 12, 2007 – WINA, the Wireless Industrial Networking Alliance, will found a chapter in Singapore to serve the Asia Pacific region--the first chapter outside of North America for the organization. “Extending our presence into the Asia Pacific region will help to further our mission of helping industry understand and accept wireless technology. This region is a source of many wireless technologies, and is leading the world in industrial growth. WINA’s increased presence in this part of the world will benefit all concerned with industrial wireless technology,” said WINA president Hesh Kagan. The WINA Board of Directors also announced the appointment of Mr.

Sachin Gupta, Senior Wireless Consultant for Invensys Process Systems, to lead the formation of the new chapter. Mr. Gupta, based in Singapore, commented, “Our local wireless community will benefit from WINA’s presence. Users who want to learn more about wireless technologies will have an unbiased organization to turn to, and Asia Pacific producers, consumers, and academics will have a local forum in which to learn and share the latest information about industrial wireless.”
