September 6, 2017 — Wood Group has launched an application designed to assist onshore petroleum and natural gas producers in reporting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under Subpart W (40 CFR 98), in line with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.
ProGHG has been developed by Wood Group’s specialist technical solutions business in Houston, and provides an enterprise-level application that automates data collection, integration and validation, and emission calculations up to automated reporting. This unique solution incorporates the deep domain knowledge needed to develop logic for data validation.
Aimed at mid-to-large gas producers with emissions greater than 25,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent or operating more than 800 wells, ProGHG will ensure compliance with EPA regulations which require the mandatory reporting of greenhouse gas data.
Environmental teams face a number of challenges when reporting on emissions including the large volume of data input required, files coming from disparate sources with varying terminology and the quality of information. The ProGHG application allows for data to be input and imported from multiple sources and operations, integrated together and validated before emissions are calculated and analyzed.
