SUGAR LAND, Texas, March 9, 2026 — Yokogawa Corporation of America is pleased to announce the return of its annual STEMPOWERMENT Camp, an immersive, hands on program designed to introduce high school students to real world applications of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The camp will be hosted at Yokogawa’s Sugar Land, Texas office in July 2026.
The STEMPOWERMENT Camp provides students with direct exposure to emerging technologies and career pathways across the STEM landscape. Presentations span a broad range of disciplines, including life sciences, robotics, artificial intelligence, autonomous manufacturing technology and more. Led by industry professionals, each session brings STEM concepts to life through interactive demonstrations and collaborative activities that encourage exploration and innovation.
In addition to technical learning, the program places a strong emphasis on personal development. Each day features dedicated empowerment and leadership building sessions designed to boost confidence and strengthen communication skills. The camp also incorporates movement based vitality breaks to help students recharge, support brain health and stay fully engaged throughout the day.
The STEMPOWERMENT Camp primarily serves high school students across Greater Houston and surrounding communities, reflecting Yokogawa’s commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders pursuing STEM education and careers. By pairing advanced technical exposure with confidence building experiences, the program aims to help address the gender gap in STEM fields and nurture the next generation of leaders and innovators.
Now entering its third year, the STEMPOWERMENT Camp underscores Yokogawa’s ongoing investment in education, workforce development and community engagement.
