August 14, 2019 – Zebra Technologies Corporation introduced its L10 Android tablet. It is part of Zebra’s portfolio of government and enterprise tablets as well as purpose-built mobile computers for the warehouse, manufacturing, construction and field operations environments. The introduction of the Android 8.1 (Oreo) operating system (OS) to the L10 family use Zebra’s Mobility DNA suite of end-user application development tools and utilities to aid migration from legacy devices. Each device includes built-in support for at least the next two generations of Android as well as Zebra’s LifeGuard for Android which extends the service life of Zebra’s Android-based devices by three to five years.

This is Zebra’s first tablet line with Android and Mobility DNA. Durably designed, the L10 tablet is portable with a 10.1-inch screen and the ability to withstand a six-foot drop to plywood. Its ingress protection IP65 rating ensures it is virtually dust and waterproof. Built with over 20 years of experience and insight following Zebra’s acquisition of Xplore Technologies, a creator of semi-, fully- and ultra-rugged tablets and 2-in-1 laptops, the L10’s power output provides full-shift, around-the-clock power on a single charge.

It also has a CPU delivering application performance and built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, GPS and NFC connections, as well as, in the XPAD model, an optional integrated Zebra barcode scanner. The L10 tablet family includes the XPAD, XBOOK 2-in-1 and XSLATE. The XBOOK 2-in-1 is a laptop replacement that includes a fully functional keyboard for heavy data entry. The XPAD’s integrated handle is designed to make carrying easier for workers who are on the move all day. The XSLATE is the smallest and lightest of the line with a traditional tablet option.

The L10 Android release expands the breadth of the L10 family and complements its current Windows offering.
