Plymouth, Minnesota: A new Zero-Max catalog of Right Angle Gear Drives, Adjustable Speed Drives and Linear Actuators has been published. The brochure has been expanded to include new application photos and data for each of the products. Zero-Max Adjustable Speed Drives ProvideInfinitely Adjustable Speed Control From 0 To 400 RPM A proven method for changing operating speeds, Zero-Max Adjustable Speed Drives eliminate the need for expensive AC/DC drives or variable pitch belt drives. They provide speed control for inputs from 1/4 to 1-1/2 HP applications with output torque ratings from 12 through 300 in-lbs. They accept input speeds from 0 – 2000 rpm, allowing output speed changes to be made quickly and easily, whether the machine is running or idle.

Applications pictured include air seeders (adjust seeding rates for various types of seeds/fertilizers for agriculture), materials handling (adjust speed of conveyors) and pumps (vary speed/flow rates), and others. Zero-Max Right Angle Gear Drives Have Spiral Bevel Gears And Stainless Steel Shafts For Low Noise Applications Compact and sealed from contaminants, these Crown Right Angle Gear Drives feature class 10 spiral bevel gears and non-magnetic stainless steel shafts. They provide directional motion change in all types of power transmission systems. They are available in standard two and three way models with 1:1 and 2:1 speed ratios with shafts diameter combinations of 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4 inch. Applications pictured include labeling and packaging systems and special machinery.

Zero-Max Roh’Lix Linear Actuators Convert Rotary Motion Into Precise Linear Motion Converting rotary motion to linear travel and carrying loads at speeds to 70 inches per second, these Roh’Lix actuators handle thrust rates between 5 and 200 lbs. A less costly alternative to precision ball screws, these actuators are adjustable so that the system will disengage if the preset thrust is exceeded, providing overload protection if an obstruction is encountered in the system. Applications pictured include automated paper slitting systems, packaging and special machinery. Call 1-800-533-1731 for FREE Drives brochure or CD ROM with sizing software included.
