Systems engineeringSpecifics for individual Burkert Y-Pattern Angle-Seat Valves are as follows:Burkert Type 2000 Y-Pattern Valve System Designed for high-cycle filling, dosing, and ON/OFF control of gases and liquids, this valve system offers: 1) flow rates higher than those achievable with conventional globe valves, 2) 10 times the life of conventional ball valves.The Type 2000 is available in two basic versions as a standalone ON/OFF unit featuring a single- or double-acting piston actuator, or as an ON/OFF process valve incorporating Burkerts Type 8631 TOP Control head with pilot solenoid valves and limit switches. The Type 8631 is available with DeviceNET software built into the electronics; or in an Intrinsically Safe design.The Type 2000 is designed with self-adjusting packing glands and an extended spindle guide and PTFE wiper seal. A maintenance-free actuator incorporates a long-life piston ring, while a shock-free opening consumes 40% less air. The Type 2000 accommodates steam to 150 psi and gases/liquids to 230 psi, with a maximum medium temperature of 365°F. Type 2000 valve bodies (1/2 to 2-1/2 inches) are available in stainless steel and bronze. Type 2632 Y-Pattern Valve for Proportional Control This compact, stainless steel control valve incorporates Burkerts digitally operated Type 1067 positioner, or 8635 Side Controller, or Type 8630 TOP Control. The Type 8630 is available with DeviceNET software built into the electronics. The digital positioning system consists of a direct connection of the valve stem to a linear potentiometer (no angular rotation component), pilot air solenoid valves rated to over 5 million cycles, and a mocroprocessor that can be programmed for PID control loops. The Type 2632, with a Type 8630 integrated PID controller, features self PID tuning with self damping parameters. This allows optimized PID valves to be selected to control a process, and the self-damping prevents the loop from going unstable and causing system damage. Combining superb flow characteristics and high flow rates, the unit does not consume air at steady-state conditions. Flow curves are programmable: linear, equal percentage, freely programmable. The unit is easy to operate, thanks to its menu-guided programming, keypad interface and LCD display. The Type 2632 handles fluids up to 365°F. Maximum operating pressure is 230 psi.
