HBK Launches HLCi, an Advanced Version of Its HLC Bending Beam Load Cell Series

Aug. 20, 2025 – Hottinger Brüel & Kjær (HBK), a global leader in industrial measurement technology, has launched HLCi, an advanced version of its renowned HLC bending beam load cell series.

Equipped with integrated electronics to provide a new level of connectivity and flexibility, HLCi is ideal for a range of industrial applications, such as tank and platform scales, batching systems, level monitoring and machines with integrated weighing technology.
 

Revolutionizing load measurement with smart features

The HLCi load cell integrates intelligent electronics, providing users with multiple output options, such as IO-Link current output (4 to 20 mA) and voltage output (0 to 10 V). Its hermetically sealed stainless-steel construction ensures durability in the toughest environments, meeting IP68/IP69K protection standards. It’s maximum capacities range from 110 kg to 4.4 tons, guaranteeing HLCi delivers reliable and precise measurements.

Designed for seamless integration into modern automation systems, the IO-Link interface simplifies data communication, while smart functions, including real-time monitoring, self-diagnostics and data preprocessing, enhance operational efficiency. HLCi’s low-profile design and fast signal processing, with short settling times, means it can endure rigorous usage.
