The versatile, multi-function DM8000 serves as a tachometer, counter, totalizer and zero speed switch–in a space saving 1/8 DIN housing

Juy 16, 2025 - Dart Controls presents the DM8000, an economical microprocessor-based digital tachometer system capable of measuring shaft speeds lower than 1 RPM, at 1 PPR. An easy-to-use front panel interface allows users to program the display in the field. The large ½ inch, 4-digit LED displays clearly even in adverse conditions. The versatile, multi-function DM8000 serves as a tachometer, counter, totalizer and zero speed switch–in a space saving 1/8 DIN housing. An isolated 5-amp form C relay output can be configured for many alarm, preset count and logic conditions, further enhancing its utility.

A single device may be shared by two speed inputs, toggling between displays, saving cost and space. With universal power supply, one model serves both 120VAC and 240 VAC input for simplicity and economy. A faceplate gasket kit provides a NEMA-4X rating when installed in similarly rated enclosure. The DM8000 digital tachometer has an operating range from 0 to 100,000 input pulses per minute, making it ideal for a wide range of industries and applications, including monitoring pump flow and conveyor oven time, measuring material take-up, and more. Dart products are 100% Made in the USA–providing significant cost advantages in times of tariffs and uncertainty.
