SVS-Vistek 10GigE Camera Leverages Advanced Thermal Management to Maintain Optimal Imaging, Reliability and Longevity

GILCHING, Germany - July 22, 2025 - Reduced image clarity, increased sensor noise and even internal component damage can occur when machine vision cameras without adequate thermal management are subjected to extreme heat.

To combat this problem, SVS-Vistek presents the SVS-Vistek hr455CXGE-T 10GigE machine vision camera, which is encased in an upgraded, milled aluminum housing that optimizes heat dissipation through air circulation, while simultaneously protecting its 61-megapixel CMOS color sensor from dust or other particles. In conjunction with air circulation, Thermo-Electric Cooling (TEC) helps stabilize sensor temperature in the face of high ambient conditions. Superior thermal management, combined with resolutions as high as 9568 x 6380 pixels transmitted at 18 frames-per-second, ready the hr455CXGE-T for demanding applications such as optical metrology, surface control, quality control or traffic monitoring.

Every feature of the camera emphasizes performance. For instance, the 10GigE Vision interface is capable of transmitting 1.1 GB/sec of image data at cable distances up to 100 meters while supplying 30W of PoE+ power to the camera. The camera's low-latency data transfer is critical for time-sensitive applications like industrial automation, robotics and real-time quality control. In addition, 10GigE Vision leverages standard Ethernet components which are widely available and less expensive than proprietary solutions. This allows the camera to be seamlessly integrated with existing GigE Vision systems for upgrades, rather than replacing entire setups.

Users can leverage the rich feature set to create their ideal machine vision system, including its defect pixel correction, ROI, GeniCam with GenTL driver, an integrated multichannel LED strobe controller and an Industrial TTL-24V I/O interface with SafeTrigger.
