EtherNet/IP Made Easy takes the user through all of the key steps of EtherNet/IP network device configuration.

It allows programming over the backplane and acts as a server to RSLinx, allowing for multiple programs such as RSLogix5000 and/or RSView products to communicate simultaneously with the processor.

Two new EtherNet/IP module options for the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix include USB ports, easy setup and replacement. The modules work with existing EtherNet/IP products and provide capacity to allow for future expansion of user networks. They use the Intel IXP465 network processor chip designed specifically for the rigorous performance demands of manufacturing environments.

The Industrial Ethernet Module enables fast, low-cost connection of devices to ETHERNET Powerlink, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET. The module is based on an Altera-FPGA and contains the CPU (NIOS II), an Ethernet Controller and an integrated 2-port hub, which is routed out via an RJ45 connector. Depending on the version, the protocol software for implementation of an ETHERNET Powerlink controlled node, a PROFINET device or an EtherNet/IP adapters is already on the module.
