Ethernet Powerlink Safety Technology is independent of the transport protocol, and is completely compatible with other fieldbus solutions such as CANopen. All safety-oriented mechanisms, which are open and available, are implemented in the data transfer process so that safety-relevant data can be transferred over a standard fieldbus. With this solution, safety functionality is completely integrated in the control system and does not require special cabling.

Modular MC600 six-Channel Controller provides continuous gas monitoring when equipped with gas sensors/transmitters. It has dual redundant Modbus communications, Type 4X housing, and an optional onboard 115/230 VAC power supply that provides Class I, Division 2 classification.

IR5000 can be configured for detection of hydrocarbon gases in the 0-5,000 ppm meter and 0-5 LEL meter ranges at distances of 20, 100 or 130 meters. It can be used effectively in applications where a single monitor can cover a line of several potential leak sources, such as a row of valves or pumps.

MA-S Series Magnetically Actuated Safety Interlock Switches and Actuators have stainless steel housings for corrosion-resistant operation in harsh environments. The NEMA 6 enclosure and variety of available stainless steel-housed contact configurations satisfy any number of demanding application requirements.

The SPA2 alarm trips accept input signals from transmitters, temperature sensors, resistance and potentiometer devices, and direct millivolt sources. They provide on/off control, warn of trouble, and provide for emergency shutdown by sending up to four relay outputs when a monitored process signal falls outside a user-selectable high/or low limit. The SPA2 is FM-approved for use in hazardous locations.

TERMEX intrinsically safe text and graphic panels have a monochrome LC display for PLC and computer-based operation and monitoring of machines and processes located in hazardous areas. These panels are ATEX certified for Zone 1 hazardous area use, with North American approvals pending.

Upgrades include a BFI (Blown Fuse Indicator) circuit, which uses a high efficiency LED that emits a bright signal throughout a complete voltage range. Because of the wide voltage range of the BFI circuits, 16 part numbers now make up what was once represented by 40. This consolidation translates to fewer items end users will have to specify due to various circuits.

Flexi safety-rated controller provides configurable logic without using any software. Users can realize the benefits of integrated safety logic without using a computer to program the device, saving time and simplifying setup. Logic is implemented with rotary switches on the front of each module. Logical combinations with multiple modules are easily set based on how the modules are combined.
