July 30, 2013 — AAEON releases AHP-1083 HMI industrial panel PC.The fanless 8.4” Panel PC is designed specifically for sensitive environments where quality is a prime issue and a combination of ruggedness, computing performance and brilliant imaging functions makes it ideally suited for industrial and building automation applications. The AHP-1083 features a Dual Core Intel Atom D2550 processor (up to 1.86 GHz), with up to 4GB of DDR3 SODIMM system memory.
The AHP-1083, measuring at only 245mm x 183mm x 50mm in dimension, with one internal 2.5” SATA hard disk, supports two 10/100/1000Base-TX Ethernet connections to offer fast network communication and utilizes two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 port, one RS-232/422/485 port and one VGA port for flexible device connectivity, in addition to one Mini-PCI slot for even further expansion. Regardless of the application, this durable Panel PC System is both attractive and responsive with its resistive touch display. This 4:3 format screen ensures clear visibility in any environment and is available in sizes from 7”~15”, featuring IP65 water and dustproof front bezeling for robust component protection and easy cleaning.
The AHP-1083 is also designed with VESA wall mounting holes to facilitate easy mounting on walls or extension arms, and installation into walls is also made possible with side securing screws and its advanced thermally designed enclosure. Many environments where panel PCs are used, experience wide ranges of operating temperatures. This system has been designed from the ground up with durability and wide temperatures in mind with a functional range of 0°C ~ 50°C for reliability in nearly any industrial setting. The AHP-1083 supports most common operating systems such as WinCE 6.0, Windows XP Embedded, Windows XP, Windows 7 32-bit, Windows Embedded Standard 7 and Linux Fedora.
