August 16, 2012 - AB Tech Solution released a Power over Ethernet (PoE) sensor module with a built-in web server and customizable I/O. The IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE allows engineers to connect systems to the module with a single Ethernet cable, meaning the module can be placed anywhere it makes sense for the application, not just where an electrical outlet happens to be. The module can also be powered via a USB cable or an external supply. The module features a 1-Wire sensor interface and an embedded web server for configuration, data logging, and remote monitoring, plus several input / output pins that can be user-configured.
The module can be configured to provide multiple analog and digital inputs and outputs, plus standard serial protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
