ABB's Analyze IT used to upgrade ExxonMobil Chemical Limiteds' Analyzer Data Management System

Fife, Scotland, July 28, 2003 ? ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, will upgrade the existing Analyzer Data Management System at the ExxonMobil Chemical Limited Fife Ethylene Plant (FEP) inScotland. ABB installed the initial process gas chromatographs and data management system to the FEP back in the early 1980's.

This was one of the first fully distributed analyzer control/data management systems ofits type in the world and set the benchmark for such systems for almosta decade.The scope of supply for this new upgrade consists of 25 gas chromatograph controllers, control room equipment, Analyze IT VN2300 Analyzer Data System software, 14 field I/O enclosures including modems, routers, Ethernet switches, and digital and analog I/O as required.ABB ( www.abb.com ) is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve performance while lowering environmental impact.
