Advantech Announces New COO: Muan Lim

Advantech’s CEO, K.C. Liu welcomes Lim to the Advantech team

Cincinnati, Ohio - Muan Lim will be Advantech Corporation’s new Chief Operation Officer (COO), effective immediately.Under Muan's leadership, we expect Advantech's centralized business infrastructure to become world class in Operational Excellence, drive significant growth in the Direct ODM business and, together with his colleagues, bring Advantech to the next wave of significant growth.An Australian citizen, born in Malaysia, Muan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honors) from the University of Melbourne. He is also an Associate of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.Before joining Advantech, Muan worked for Hewlett Packard (HP) for 22 years.

His last responsibility was Vice President, Asia Pacific & Japan Operations for Personal Systems Group. Prior to that, Muan was the Vice President and General Manager for HP's Worldwide Technology Finance responsible for directing the company's worldwide business in providing finance offerings to customers. In this role, Muan has successfully returned HPTF back to profitability and pioneered new and innovative programs in utility financing. Muan's other major achievements included developing HP China’s PC and server manufacturing revenue from $26 million to $400 million and pioneering HP’s leasing business in Asia Pacific.
