This connector has been developed to provide a new connecting solution, at an attractive cost, in particular for applications requiring easy, fast disconnection for safety reasons. Although it looks very much like other connectors meeting standard MIL-DTL-38999, its innovation lies in the coupling system. A spring housed in the base holds the connectors together. Because this system does not contain any mechanical elements, it provides a high level of reliability.Like all the connectors meeting standard MIL-DTL-38999, the SC39 shows exceptional resistance in harsh environments.
It remains reliable at temperatures ranging from -65°C to +175°C in the cadmium version and -65°C to +200°C in the nickel version. It also shows resistance to 500 hours in a salt spray for the cadmium version and 48 hours for the nickel version. There are already over 30 contact configurations available in 4 sizes, with a full range of contacts for crimping or pinning: signal (5 to 23 A), high frequency coaxial, concentric and differential twinax, triax and quadrax.
