March 13, 2007 - Carlisle, PA - Automation Systems Interconnect Inc. (ASI) has recently introduced a new line of 2-phase input, DIN rail mounted power supplies. The CSB and CSW series operate using only 2 legs of a 3-phase circuit, thereby saving space, cabling and circuit protection costs. The CSB series has a universal input of 340-550 Vac, whereas the CSW series has a universal input of 185-550 Vac in both single and 2-phase. This solution provides the same output power as a 3-phase input power supply, but at a lower cost and taking less space on the DIN rail.
High efficiency and low heat dissipation as well as full electronic protection are important performance features of the new CSB and CSW series. The CSB series are available with a 24 Vdc regulated output, 6 amp model and a version with a 48 Vdc regulated output at 3 amps. The CSW series 24 Vdc power supplies are available in 5 and 10 amps, 12-15 Vdc adjustable versions and 7-8 amp and 15-16 amp, and a 48 Vdc model in 5 amp, all with a universal input range of 185-550 Vac. One of the key features of this new family of 2-phase power supplies is the user selectable output protection. The user can easily select hiccup or constant power protection based on the application.
Also, all power supplies have both output overload and short circuit protection and are housed in fully enclosed, touch-safe enclosures.
