Axiomtek introduces iCON-87000 rack-mountable Ethernet switches
iCON-87000 managed Ethernet switch has 24-port 10/100base Fast Ethernet plus 4-port Gigabit SFP.

November 4, 2010- Axiomtek introduced iCON-87000 19” rack-mountable hardened managed Ethernet switches equipped with up to twenty-four 10/100Base-TX or 100Base-FX/BX ports plus four 10/100/1000Base-TX ports or four Gigabit SFP combo (1000BASE-SX/LX/BX) ports. With a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +75°C, the IP30-rated iCON-87000 series complies with UL standards, and meets IEC61000-6-2 EMC Generic standard immunity for industrial environment, IEC61850-3 and IEEE1613 for electric utility automation applications, and EN50121-4 safety standard for railway applications. To provide non-stop Ethernet connection, the iCON-87000 series supports intelligent α-Ring technology which provides fast network recovery within 15ms.

This brilliant and reliable unit is a special design for power station, building, control room and telecom applications where request high-ports density and performance.iCON-87000 series supports advanced features such as IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, port trunking, IGMP snooping, rapid spanning tree, QoS IEEE802.1p/1Q, and port mirroring. Users may choose among SNMP/RMON, web browser, or telnet for remote monitoring and configuration.

It also supports rate control, which allows users to set the maximum bandwidth on each port individually. Otherwise, the iCON-87000 switches offer IEEE802.1X port-based network access control for network security. In addition to RSTP/STP for Ethernet redundancy, the iCON-87000 series features redundant ring technology with a recovery time under 15ms.

Advanced Features:

  • Complies with IEC61850-3 & IEEE1613 environmental requirements for power substation automation systems
  • Complies with EN50121-4 environmental requirement for railway application
  • Complies with IEC61000-6-2 EMC generic standard immunity for industrial environment
  • Proprietary "α-ring" support for network redundancy; recovery time <15 ms
