Nuernberg. The six sizes of dynamic DSD series motors from Baumüller enable the customer to solve numerous problems in automation. Among other aspects, the DSDs impress with their acceleration performance and best start-stop qualities. The advantages of the DSDs are apparent in bottle filling: in this process containers must be filled at high speed.
To perform the operation precisely, the conveyor belt is moved forward at short intervals and then stopped again.The Baumüller DSD 28-100 have just this start-stop quality and dynamics. In addition, the motor series features a compact design with high power densities. The permanently excited synchronous servomotors have very good run-out properties, a high overload capability and can be operated almost without breakaway torque. Very high dynamics are achieved by means of an excellent torque-inertia relationship.
The slender, uniform housing design and the smooth surface finish on the housings ensure the units are not susceptible to soiling, a feature which makes the motors particularly suitable for sectors where hygiene is important such as the food industry. The housing design also provides good ventilation options – whether IP65 unventilated or IP54 surface cooled with fan. In comparison to the typical motors in the DSD series, the DSD 45-IPG also features integrated planetary gearing. This gearing provides low torsional backlash, high roll-back stiffness as well as a high efficiency. The integrated gearing is particularly quiet.
