October 26, 2006 - RICHMOND, IN - Belden announces the addition of two new DataBus cables to its IndustrialTuff PROFIBUS product line. Belden DataBus PROFIBUS DP and PA shielded twisted pair cables are designed to deliver high performance and reliability in PROFIBUS factory automation and process automation applications. PROFIBUS ranks as one of the largest open industrial fieldbus protocols in the world.
The expanded line of Belden DataBus cables now includes:
- Product No. 3079A - a PROFIBUS DP 150-ohm twinax cable that matches the impedance of the factory automation system, allowing for optimized signal transmission.
- Product No. 3079E (New) - a PROFIBUS DP 22 AWG stranded cable designed to provide additional flexibility during installation and in use.
- Product No. 183079A (New) - a PROFIBUS DP continuously corrugated aluminum armored cable designed to withstand the rigors of extremely harsh industrial environments.
- Product No. 3076F - a PROFIBUS PA 18 AWG stranded twisted pair cable manufactured to the ISA/SP-50 Type A fieldbus specifications.
The cable incorporates a 22 AWG solid bare copper conductor and an overall Beldfoil shield plus a 65 percent tinned copper braid for maximum shielding effectiveness.
