Five Million Euro Invested in New Factory
Rexroth will be officially opening a new production site today in the Slovenian town of Skofia Loka. With an investment of around five million Euro the company has set up a state-of-the-art production plant for electric motors. Almost 200 will be employed on the maintenance-free linear, torque and modular motors at the Skofia Loka site. These motors will be used for example in automotive production, in the latest newspaper printing presses and in packaging machinery.With this new site in Slovenia, Bosch Rexroth AG is expanding its production capacity in Central and Eastern Europe.
Around 5,300 sq. m usable space will now be available. The new factory layout and operating sequences in Skofia Loka will be designed in accordance with the Bosch Production System, a unified concept for setting up and optimizing production processes. The Bosch Production System places the main focus on customer satisfaction, creates the conditions for zero-fault quality and guarantees adherence to the highest environmental and safety standards. Bosch Rexroth AG has had its own factory in Slovenia since 1998, taking over part of the operations of the Domel Group and founding Indramat Elektromotorij in Zelezniki, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bosch Rexroth AG.
With the new factory in Skofia Loka, Rexroth is continuing to implement its strategy of expanding current production sites in Central and Eastern Europe, with the aim of exploiting the advantages of locally available production facilities. At the same time, and as far as economically viable, the company is striving to retain manufacture of products requiring special know-how in the main factories.
