September 5, 2017 - ConTech, a Division of Calex, announces the “RQS” Series of Railway DC/DC converters. The RQS Series offers 75 Watts of fully regulated output power with railway input voltages of 72VDC (43-101 VDC) and 110VDC (66-160 VDC). Single outputs offered are 5, 12, 15, and 24VDC. The RQS series uses an industry standard Quarter Brick package which can be ordered an optional heat-sink.
Features include Remote On/Off, Output Trim, Over Temperature, Overload, and Short Circuit Protection. The operating baseplate temperature range of the RQS series is -40 to +105°C. The unit is encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound with and uses metal baseplate for improved thermal performance. The RQS series is RoHS compliant. The RQS series meets Railway standards EN50155 and EN45545-2, as well as EMC standard EN50121-3-2.
The RQS series also meets UL 60950-1.
