May 21, 2012 - Rated for voltages up to 42,000 Volts DC, Cicoil’s Silicone Jacketed Solar Power Cables are for solar panel interconnection and photovoltaic applications. These halogen-free cables are flame retardant, highly flexible and perform exceptionally well when exposed to severe cold & heat (-65°C to +260°C). The silicone encapsulation is resistant to tearing, and will not deform, break or wear during a lifetime of more than 10 million cycles, even under tight bending radius and constant flexing conditions. The ultra-durable silicone compound is "self-healing" from small punctures and cable jacket damage can easily be repaired in the field ensuring continued service life.
Unlike other types of Solar Cables that become brittle when utilized in harsh outdoor environments, the silicone extruded cables do not require external “armor” or conduit for protection, and are unaffected when exposed to UV-radiation, sunlight, ozone, abrasion, salt, coarse sand, submersion, acid rain, ice, vibration, shock, humidity, mechanical stress, many chemicals and difficult weather conditions. Solar Cables (30 AWG to 4 AWG) are available from stock in continuous lengths, cut to order, or as assemblies, complete with connectors, 100% tested and inspected. In addition, Cicoil offers anti-friction coatings, low smoke-zero halogen, custom colors and lower/higher voltage designs by request.
Cicoil's Solar Cables are UL Recognized, CE Conforming, RoHS & REACH Compliant and are manufactured in an automated, climate controlled environment. In addition, these environment friendly cables are 100% contaminant-free and exceed the outgassing requirements of ASTM E-595.
