Atlanta - July 18, 2003 - Citect, a world leader of industrial automation and information management solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Trumeter as the new President of its American Operations.Trumeter brings to this position over 14 years experience in managing direct and channel sales of software, hardware and services at a number of leading and evolving technology companies, where he was responsible for significant revenue growth.Based in Texas, from 1989 to 1994, he managed channel sales for IBM, before joining QIV Systems as Director of Sales and Marketing for 2 years. In 1996, he co-founded InfoWare, a B2B CRM start-up, where as President, he successfully grew and then sold the business.
He rejoined the corporate world in 2001 as Director of Sales at SAP, which he remained until his recent appointment. “This is a very exciting opportunity to grow what is already a dynamic, world-class company”, said Trumeter. “With a strong organizational infrastructure and a strategic channel program in place, I will refocus the company on pushing sales effectiveness and profit margins to a higher level throughout the Americas.
