CONTA-CLIP introduces ZST-WA through-wall mounting adapter
ZST tension-spring connection system simplifies the connection or exchange of pre-assembled functional units, thereby minimizing the mounting effort.

December 3, 2013 - CONTA-CLIP introduces the ZST-WA through-wall mounting adapter. By simply attaching the adapter to a ZSTK coupling, a housing lead-through can be realized. The multi-pole units latch in sheet metal openings. Pressure on the inner slide fixes them in position. The outer plug connector can be fitted with an additional latch element.

The rectangular wall opening always has the same width, its length varies with the size of coupling and connector which depends on the number of poles. ZST tension-spring connection system facilitates the connection or exchange of pre-assembled functional units, thereby minimizing the mounting effort. It is suitable for rated currents up to 24 A and rated voltages up to 500 V. Now, users such as machine manufacturers can wire the machine side and the control cabinet side, pre-commission the application, easily disconnect it for transport, and simply re-plug it for commissioning – connecting machines does not necessarily require a qualified electrician anymore.

The components are safe to touch. They can be individually configured, combined and coded according to application-specific requirements. Snap-on locking latches are available to prevent unauthorized handling. Wires with 0.5 to 4 mm² cross-sections are reliably contacted via tension-spring connections.

For additional mechanical resilience, e.g. in mobile applications, a strain relief mechanism can be snapped on.
