August 30, 2012 - CONTA-CLIP introduces SMAG pick-off terminals and STA test adapters. SMAG pick-off terminals provide basic SRK terminal blocks with one or two additional wire connections, increasing the number of available connections to up to four. A snap-in mechanism securely engages the SMAG pick-off terminals in the terminal blocks. The SMAG busbar connects via the corresponding base connection of the terminal block; the rated cross section is thereby reduced to one size smaller. The pick-off terminals allow for voltage tapping up to a rated voltage of 800 V.

By means of the STA test adapter, users can quickly and safely test pre-wired terminal strips. A test plug block can be mounted with any number of poles using the locking pegs and STA ZP intermediate plates with widths from 1 to 3 mm.

Furthermore, the STA ZP intermediate plates enable the assembly of a test plug block, which can also be mounted on SRK/SSL blocks of different widths (e.g. 2.5, 4, 6, 10 mm). Thanks to its innovative design the STA test adapter can be rotated 180° and mounted onto an SRK terminal block even if one of its cross-connection channels is already occupied by a cross-connector.

Wires with cross-sections ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 mm² can be crimped or soldered to the spring-loaded tracer pins. The test adapter set consists of a housing, spring, and tracer pin. Users can label STA and SMAG housings with the PMC quick marking system.
