“U” shaped guide rail design provides high rigidity for single-end support
WOOD DALE, IL – Danaher Motion introduces IDC URS-Series Ballscrew Positioning Tables. These compact tables feature a unique “U”-shaped steel guide rail, and a recirculating bearing module that provides the dual functions of a guide block and ballscrew nut. Additionally, the bearing module contains four pre-loaded ball circuits to deliver high load capacity, high accuracy and high rigidity. The rigid “U”-shaped guide is highly resistant to bending, allowing the URS to be single-end supported for cantilevered applications.
“As a packaged single-axis solution integrating the guide rail, precision ballscrew, and optional motor and limit sensor packages, the URS eliminates complex precision adjustment and reduces installation time dramatically when compared to purchasing and assembling individual components,” says Dave Kosewski, Product Manager. “This allows the user to focus their valuable integration time on the process, rather than aligning and debugging home-grown mechanical motion assemblies.” Designed to be interchangeable with other positioning tables, the URS can also be used to easily upgrade existing equipment or machinery.The URS-series is available in five standard sizes to suit a variety of application requirements. The smallest model, URS20, features a cross-section of only 20mm tall by 40mm wide.
The largest model, URS55, is 55mm tall by 100mm wide and is available with travel lengths up to 1134mm and a normal load capacity of 530kg.
