July 1, 2010 - Data Translation releases 64-bit drivers for all their USB and Ethernet measurement solutions as well as PCI data acquisition boards. Users can now optimally leverage the added functionality and performance of Windows 7. The 64-bit drivers are easy to install under Windows 7 and allow test and measurement specialists to make maximum use of the enhanced performance capabilities provided by the latest Windows operating system.The OmniCD, which ships with all USB and Ethernet data acquisition modules and PCI boards from Data Translation, comprises 32-bit and 64-bit Windows drivers. In addition, it features many useful software components for developers and users, including a C/C++ programming environment with sample executables and source code.
The software package also contains a .NET class library for all programming languages that conform to the Common Language Specification (CLS). This makes it easy for developers to create their own test and measurement applications in Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and 2005.ActiveX components, drivers for LabVIEW and an interface for direct connection to the MATLAB analysis software are also provided on the CD. The software package is complemented by various evaluation versions, including the Measure Foundry test and measurement application software and the quickDAQ software, which is an easy-to-use application for acquiring, plotting, analyzing and saving measurement data.
