Integrated vision extends capabilities of industrial robots

Duluth, GA, June 3, 2003 – DVT Corporation, the global leader in SmartImage Sensor technology, announces an agreement with Yamaha Robotics (Edgemont, PA) to private label its Legend family of vision products for integration into Yamaha’s line of industrial robots.The private labeled vision systems, marketed under the trade name YamaVision, is available with Yamaha’s full range of controllers and robots. A calibration wizard is offered with the PRCX controller and will greatly simplify setup and configuration. The YamaVision system, which is available with any robot model, is sold and serviced through Yamaha Robotics’ North American distributor network.

A variety of training courses are offered at the company’s Edgemont, PA headquarters and are also available at customer locations if requested. Individual courses are offered in Robot Operation, Programming and Maintenance. Commenting on the private label agreement, DVT Director of OEM Business Development, Brad Steinke stated, “We are pleased to announce this agreement and our association with Yamaha Robotics.
