Duluth, GA, March 12, 2004 – The DVT Corporation Spectral Camera has won another honor from Control Engineering Magazine. The Engineer’s Choice Award was presented to DVT as a recent awards presentation held in conjunction with National Manufacturing Week. The Spectral Camera won for Machine Vision, one of eight categories. Winners were determined by reader survey. “It is particularly meaningful when readers—in this case, engineers—select DVT and DVT products as award winners,” commented DVT CEO and Chairman Bob Steinke.

“Winning an honor like this spurs us on to serve the industry better.”The Spectral Camera is ideal for the most demanding color applications where small color variations are critical, such as individual parts in an automobile door where one model may have several variations of white. The Spectral Camera uses a built-in Spectrograph to split the incoming light into its constituent wavelengths along the X axis and spatially along the Y axis. With this product, the complete spectrum (380nm – 780nm) of the sample can be learned and small deviations detected.

DVT attributes its success to the company philosophy of ‘Servant Leadership.’ This means putting the needs of our customers ahead of our own needs. Instead of asking ‘What’s in it for me?’ we ask our customers ‘How may I serve you?’ Agape is a Greek term meaning Unconditional Love.
