TC Communication multiplexers have been used by Utility, Process Control and Industrial Automation customers since the early 1990’s when it introduced the industry’s first 12-channel self-healing ring multi-drop fiber optic multiplexer. Thirteen different models are currently offered for multiplexing various combinations of Ethernet, T1/E1, Telephone, Analog, Audio, Dry Contact, Voice & Serial Data. Multiplexers are available both single and multimode and offer several power options. Standard power is 12VDC and includes built-in redundancy. Optional power sources include 24VDC, -48VDC, 125VDC or 115/230VAC with an external power cube.

High temperature (-20°C to 70°C) and extreme temperature (-40°C to 80°C) versions are also available. Most fiber optic multiplexers offer distances to more than 100km. Distances can vary depending on the size and type of fiber optic cable, number of connectors and type of hardware connectivity devices used in a given network. Several models provide a Test Signal Generator to verify both device and fiber optic link operation.
