  • RS-232
  • RS-422
  • RS-449
  • RS-485
  • RS-530
  • RS-366
  • T1/E1
  • T3/E3
  • V.35
  • TTL

TC Comm’s Modem designs are streamlined and focus on easy installation, easy testing, low power consumption and long MTBF’s. Several models offer modular electrical interfaces and can be easily changed before or after installation. High temperature (-20°C to 70°C) and extreme temperature (-40°C to 80°C) versions are also available. Fiber Optic Modems are available in both multimode and single mode. Power is 9-12VDC, 24VDC, -48VDC, 125VDC or 115/230VAC with an external power cube.

Configurations include point-to-point, multi-drop, ring, self-healing ring and bus. Data rates vary from 300 bps to 10Mbps. Bit error rates are 1 in 10-10 or better. Depending on the model, chassis options include rackmount, wallmount or standalone. Distances up to 80km are typical depending on various factors including electrical interface, optical transmitter, number of fiber optic connectors and fiber type and quality.

On some models, Power redundancy is standard and Optical redundancy is optional. Diagnostics are extensive on some models and include a built-in Test Signal Generator, local & remote loopback tests and LEDs for Power, Alarm, Tx, Rx and all applicable control signals. The Test Signal Generator verifies both device and fiber optic link operation. Specializing in Fiber Optic Communications networks, TC Communications, Inc. designs and manufactures all types of Industrial Grade Modular Ethernet Switches, Self-Healing Ring Ethernet Switches, Media Converters, Modems, Multiplexers, Telephone/Data Multiplexers and Telephone Extenders.
