GLEN BURNIE, MARYLAND, OCTOBER 14, 2007. Fibox Enclosures announces expanded UL and cUL environmental ratings for its ARCA Series enclosures. In addition to the Type 4 and 4X hose-down rating, Type 6, 6P, 12, and 13 ratings have been added for enclosures 12 x 10 inch and smaller. These ratings apply to a screw cover enclosure, a hinged screw cover enclosure, and a hinged enclosure with several latch configurations.
Type 6 and 6P are 6 feet (1.8m) submersion ratings for 1 and 24 hours, respectively. Type 12 and 13 ratings add protection from oil and non-corrosive coolants. Larger ARCA sizes also have additional ratings and are now rated Type 4, 4X, 12, and 13.State-of-the-art ARCA enclosures offer a new era in enclosure technology.
Manufactured using injection molded polycarbonate, a high performance plastic, these stylized electrical enclosures offer ease of customization, robustness, superior chemical resistance, and wide temperature range.
Standard interior enclosure sizes range from 6.00 x 6.00 x 4.00" D up to 14.00 x 12.00 x 7.00" D.ARCA’s rugged construction achieves a unique appearance without sacrificing robustness.
The stylized cover features an overlapping design providing superior protection of the formed-in-place polyurethane (PUR) gasket. Mounting plates plus fixed and hinged inner panels are available in either metal or non-metallic versions.
