Green Watt Power introduces EVD 500 series of DC/DC converters
The EVD 500 has two input ranges, 30 to 65 VDC and 50 to 120VDC, with output voltages of either 13.5 or 14.2VDC to power auxiliary EV functions such as lights, instruments, accessories, etc.

January 20, 2017 - Green Watt Power of Concord California announced the introduction of the EVD 500 Series of DC/DC converters for Electric Vehicle applications. The EVD 500 has two input ranges, 30 to 65 VDC and 50 to 120VDC, with output voltages of either 13.5 or 14.2VDC to power auxiliary EV functions such as lights, instruments, accessories, etc. The EVD 500 is fully isolated input to output and protected by Over Voltage Protection, Short Circuit Protection, Input Reverse Polarity Protection and Over Temperature Protection.

The EVD 500 is mindful of battery conservation with a Quiescent Current Draw of only 30uA. Efficiencies for the EVD 500 run as high as 93% and the unit features a metal baseplate for heat transfer to a metal mounting surface. All models are housed in an IP66 enclosure for protection against water intrusion. The EVD 500 provides a solution for higher power requirements. Multiple EVD 500 converters can be wired in parallel with no external circuitry required to obtain 1000 Watts or 1500 Watts.

All models feature Remote ON/OFF and are ROHS compliant.

Line and Load Regulation for the EVD 500 is 1% and 7% respectively. Output Ripple and Noise is 100mV peak to peak typical. Load Transient Response is 10ms. Start Up Time is 500ms. Rise time is also 500ms.

The Operating Ambient Temperature Range of the EVD 500 is -40 to +75C. The MTBF per MIL-HDBK-217F @ 25C Ground Benign is 150,000 hours.

The case size is 7.48” x 2.99” x 1.71”H.

The EVD 500 weight is 1.25kg. The EVD 500 can withstand 8Gs in x, y and z axis from 0 to 200Hz for one minute.
