PHOENIX, June 9, 2003 - Honeywell [NYSE:HON] Industry Solutions today introduced the latest release of Business.FLEX® PKS(tm), a suite of software solutions that enable significant and sustainable productionperformance improvements for process industries. Improvements to Business.FLEX PKS applications in v.120 enable process industries personnel to make better business decisions and improve execution.
The productefficiently unifies business goals and production automation, and in turn improves decision-making processes, helping users achieve faster execution and increased manufacturing flexibility.With Business.FLEX PKS tools, companies typically increase production by 3 to 6 percent, while decreasing costs 1 to 2 percent. Users find significant improvements in operations and value chain management, advanced planning and scheduling, and blending and movement automation.
To date, more than 1,000 Business.FLEX PKS solutions have been installed at oil and gas, refining,petrochemical, mining and minerals, pulp and paper and chemical facilities across the globe.
