Enterprise Business Process Solution Supports Initiatives in Customer Satisfaction, Growth
PHOENIX, April 28, 2003 - Honeywell (NYSE:HON) Industry Solutions announced today that Sonoco, a leading global packaging company headquartered in Hartsville, S.C., has selected Honeywell's OptiVision® enterprise solution to manage the order-to-invoice business process across its North American paper operations. The project includes centralized order management, global sourcing, scheduling, production management, warehouse management and invoicing at all 19 North American (Canada, United States and Mexico) facilities.OptiVision will be integrated with Sonoco's existing PeopleSoft financial system that includes accounts receivables, accounts payables and general ledger.
The system is scheduled for start-up in 2003."
